Fifty Cent Beef Pt 2

March 24th, 2009 | By Safiyyah

Another target has been hit by the infamous controversial Fifty Cent — Rick Ross. The Miami rapper is known for his hard beats and husky voice and has teamed up with other artists like Ludacris, Dream and Akon. Well, Fifty Cent really pushed him to the limit with his song that disses Rick Ross and Gunplay. Gunplay shot back with his crew in an attempt to hit Fifty back, but only time will tell what effect this will have on either one of their careers. Fifty’s angle is to point out who isn’t real in the “game”. Rappers like Ja Rule who went soft (or maybe was always soft, but was playing hard with hip hop jewelry and clothes) get called out by Fifty Cent and are almost instantly shut down. The same goes for the Floridian Rick Ross.

Iced Out Gun Pendant

There was a video clip released by Fifty Cent on YouTube that shows him taunting Gunplay. Some people on the streets call Fifty Cent “Curly”, which is a nickname that is supposed to diss Fifty’s sexuality, but Fifty takes this name and creates a pimp character named Curly for a web series on YouTube. On this show, Fifty Cent makes fun of Rick Ross and his baby mama. The video begins and ends with Gunplay seemingly passed out. On a survey given to that shows 62.57% saying Fifty Cent is winning the battle, 16.04% say Rick Ross is winning and 21.39% don’t think either one of them is winning. Many people don’t fall for the rap beefs that form in the music industry because they are known to help hype up sales for the artists involved.

Fifty Cent Beef Pt 1

March 23rd, 2009 | By Safiyyah

Fifty cent is well-known for his controversial style — he’s had beef with popular rap stars like Ja Rule and Fat Joe. The beef between Ja Rule and 50 cent spread quickly when it hit the streets. Everyone kept a close ear and eye on what was going on between the two and wondered who would win the rap war. Each came out with serious lyrics in songs towards one another, but the one that came out on top was Fifty Cent. He clowned Ja Rule enough to make everyone turn against him and then infamously shutting down his career. This was only the beginning for the conquest of Fifty. Next on his list were a few others, including the recent Fat Joe. After his popular song, “Lean Back”, Fifty Cent came out with a song that dissed Fat Joe and shut down his career. He tried coming back out with another album, but people just weren’t buying his album like they used to.

Crowned Skull Pendant

There is talk that Fifty Cent is looking to shut down even more careers — and has a focus on Lil’ Wayne. This may seem a bit impossible to do. The whole swagger and rap style of Lil’ Wayne has gotten him to where he is today. He’s known for wearing extra baggy jeans, iced out medallions with long chains and long dreadlocs. Many are waiting to see what dirt Fifty has to dish on Wayne, but guess we’ll have to wait and see what he comes out with.

12 Year Anniversary of Biggie’s Death

March 10th, 2009 | By Safiyyah

Twelve years have passed since the infamous B.I.G passed away. Even though he has been gone for over a decade, you can still hear his old songs playing in movies and on the radio; and you might even catch a few new songs using his voice from old recorded tracks. Born as Christopher Wallace, Notorious B.I.G. was a rap legend in the 90s and was often compared to and was even a rival of Tupac. The East Coast, West Coast battle was shutdown almost immediately after the death of the two legendary stars, making the beef a little to real and too deadly. To top off the continuation of the Biggie legacy, a movie was recently released called Notorious B.I.G.; it is the life story of Christopher Wallace and how he met up with Puff Daddy and other rappers allowing him to make it as big as he had gotten in the music industry.

Biggie Smalls

His crew was the Junior M.A.F.I.A., which was an instant success; it contained rappers like Lil’ Cease and Lil’ Kim. These trendsetters hit the scene hard, but B.I.G. never really got to see the groups true success of its last album release, “Life After Death”, which sold 11 million copies. Biggie’s albums are constantly being sold and promoted today, so his legendary tale continues to thrive strong. Seeing him and his fellow rappers on stage brought a true hip hop presence that many people enjoyed to watch. His swagger, hip hop jewelry and clothes all made him into the star he was. Notorious B.I.G. is and will continue to be one of the top rappers of all time.

Get Religious for Easter

March 10th, 2009 | By Safiyyah

Many people lose the whole concept of Easter and what is represents — the holiness of this special day isn’t as recognized as it should be. Thanks to the commercial industry that advertises its products and the Easter bunny, the true value of Easter is somewhat lost in the mix. When it all comes down to it, it’s about Christ and his resurrection. Many Christians celebrate this holiday on Easter Sunday and after attending church, they have an Easter egg hunt for the children. Some kids only think about the fun aspects of Easter, so make sure to take time to explain the true meaning of Easter to them.

Cross Pendent

Meanwhile, searching for gifts to give your loved ones can vary depending on the individual. You can find the usual Easter eggs, chocolate and bunnies, but don’t forget about the ultimate symbol for Christ himself — the cross. You can find cross pendents suitable for men and women, so take some time to search around for the right one. If you enjoy hip hop jewelry, you will find all sorts of iced out cross pendents on the site. There are also all sorts of designs and styles available for the various cross pendents, so if you are looking for something a bit unique, you will definitely find it. Some come with cubic zirconia stones or other colored stones. Most of the pieces are created with sterling silver, so the prices are very affordable, allowing you to purchase multiple pendents and necklaces if needed. Style and affordability, can’t beat that.
