Bishop Eddie Long, Accused of Homosexuality in the Church

You’ve already heard a lot of rumors about priests molesting boys in the Catholic church and now we’re hearing about it in the Black church, New Birth Missionary Baptist Church located in Lithonia, Georgia. Bishop Eddie Long of the church established the church back in 1987, with little to his name. Today, he is a millionaire with a 240 acre stadium-style church that has 25,000 members (big turnaround from the the prior 300 members he started out with). He now owns various businesses, houses, charities and fitness center. He is a very influential black preacher, with broadcasts of his sermons throughout the country and internationally in 170 other countries. You may have also seen him with various celebrities and democratic and republican political figures.

As of late, he has been accused of sexually abusing 4 young men (now there are supposedly 30 members). All were over 18 years old, except for one who said he was 17 years old when the sexual abuse started. The four members said that to Bishop Long invited them to join his elite youth group at the church, so that he could groom them for sex. Then in exchange, they allege that Bishop Long took them on exotic trips, gave them money, housing and new cars. Bishop Long has vowed to fight against these accusations. The ironic part is that Bishop Long lead an anti-gay movement back in 2004 (it is very common in the Black church to be against homosexuality).

“I have never portrayed myself as a perfect man,” Bishop Long told his church Sunday. “But I am not the man that’s being portrayed on the television. That’s not me.”

He said his lawyers have advised him “not to try this case in the media,” adding, “I feel like David and Goliath, but I’ve got five rocks and I haven’t thrown one yet.”

Floyd Mayweather Accused of Domestic Violence

Many of you know Floyd Mayweather as being the unbeatable American boxer that many people love and hate. Earlier this week, Floyd was accused by his baby mother that he beat her up in front of their three children. In the reports, Josie Harris claims that Mayweather grabbed her by her hair and dragged her on the floor of her living room and repeatedly punched her in the head and then dragged her to the floor and bent her arm behind her back in an attempt to break it. She then says that he threatened their children, saying that if they ran or tried to call the police he would beat like their mother. Now, she says that Mayweather came to her home while she was asleep and dragged her out of her bed by the hair.

Josie also claims that Mayweather screamed that he would kill her and her boyfriend and make sure that they were taken care of. Then the documents that she filled out for a restraining order says that he was there for a few hours before the incident and they were arguing about her and her boyfriend. She then says that she called the police and had Floyd escorted off of her property.

Now, not saying that any of this story isn’t true, but it is a little shady how she says he showed up to her Las Vegas home Thursday morning and dragged her out of the bed while she slept, then in the written report it says they were arguing in her home hours before the incident took place.

Basketball Wives, Jennifer Williams is a Step Mom?

If you’ve been watching the show, Basketball Wives, then you know all of the problems that Jennifer and her husband,retired basketball player, Eric Williams have been having problems with their marriage. He has had some infidelities in his past that has kept Jennifer in the crossroads of staying with or leaving her husband. She stayed tough and stuck with her man as he got better and better. There relationship was actually starting to look up. That’s of course until now. Not sure how she’s taking it, but there have been tweets to Jennifer from a woman in Cleveland claiming to have fathered an 18-month-old son with her husband Eric. Though he denies this (and the baby actually does look like him if you ask me), the woman has requested a paternity test from him twice, which he has failed to follow through with. If he’s so sure it isn’t his, why doesn’t he prove her wrong by taking the DNA test?

Well, Jennifer hasn’t responded to the woman’s tweets and claims she doesn’t know who this woman is. In fact, the woman says that the case has been going on for a year now. The Cleveland woman said she didn’t know that Eric was married until she was 5 months pregnant. Here are the tweets that she made:

“Here is a picture of your husband’s son in Cleveland, Ohio” read the first tweet, which was accompanied by a photo of her now 18-month-old son, Jayden.

VH1 contacted Jennifer’s handle who said Jennifer isn’t a stepmom and that she doesn’t know who the woman is. Guess we will find out the truth in the near future when he finally takes the paternity test. I wonder if Jennifer will stick with Eric through this. This will definitely test the strength of them and their marriage. Do you think the two look alike?

T.I. and Tiny Arrested: “Jail Made Me Worse”

It seems that some people just can’t get enough of prison. Some people say that once you get in trouble with the law, you stay in trouble with the law. This especially holds true for those who seem to be constantly in and out of jail. You may hear some people joke that jailbirds are only out of prison on vacation and will be going right back in. Well, for T.I. it seems this may be true. Is he now officially a jailbird? The other day, the King of rap and his wife Tiny were arrested during a routine stop by West Hollywood police. When they smelled marijuana smoke in the vehicle, the two were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000, which they posted and were set free at 4:00 in the morning.

Some people are wondering if this will be the fall of his career, especially if he is locked up again. In an interview, T.I. made a few comments, saying that jail actually made him worse.

“When I was goin’ through it (prison), I really felt like it added insult to injury. The lesson had already been learned. I already understood the errors in my ways and made the adjustments necessary.

“It did make me worse in a sense that, before I went in, I was already on the path of positivity. Putting me in prison took me off that path a little bit, and now I’m working to get back on that path – or at least back on the path to the extent that I was before I went in.

“I’m still not as bad as I was before this incident, but I lost a little bit of my positive focus during that period of incarceration. Being in that environment and having those daily surroundings, it’s going to affect you.”

Is Nicki Minaj Mrs. Drake?

Well, they sure did have us going for a minute. Nicki Minaj and Drake posted tweets on Twitter saying that the two had hitched. It went a little something like this:

Nicki Minaj: U scurred? @drakkardnoir u ready to make the announcement or wha?

Drake: @nickiminaj Baby I am never scared. PROUD is more the word I would use.

Drake: Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and don’t stare at her too long. She’s finally mine. J

Nicki Minjaj: Yes, it’s true. Drake and I tied the knot.

So these back and forth tweets pretty much said it all. But rumor has it that this is a hoax and that the two celebrities are not really married. Not sure why they would lie; maybe they were looking for a little bit of attention. Before these tweets went out, fans were already speculating, thanks to Drakes verse in one of his “Miss Me” single:

“I love Nicki Minaj/ I told her I’d admit it/ I hope one day we get married just to say we f—ing did it/ And girl, I’m f—ing serious/ I’m with it if you with it/ ‘Cause your verses turn me on, and your pants are mighty fitted.”

Nicki Minaj’s respone to that was, “”Drake does not have a crush on me,” Minaj assured Envy. “Drake knows how to get you guys’ attention.”

Nicki Minaj squashed the speculations by tweeting this the next day:

“Dear Barbz, My husband Drake and I have decided to have our marriage annulled. We’ll maintain joint custody. Luv, HB,” the Young Money Barbie wrote on Saturday. When asked by Twitter fan MissBrownBear who they were sharing custody of, Minaj “All our SONS.”
