Wiz Khalifa is releasing his sophomore LP entitled, “O.N.I.F.C.”, where he explains what the acronym stood for, as many fans were puzzled by it.

The Pittsburgh rapper revealed that the title of his LP was an acronym for “Only N***a in First Class”.

“I’m just going to tell you what [O.N.I.F.C.] – it’s the Only N[igga] In First Class. It’s inspired by Prodigy’s H.N.I.C. When he dropped that, I felt like that sounded so strong and it really meant something and it had the n-word in it. I wanted to figure out something [along those lines] that was me, too…I said it on one of my songs, like, ‘Ain’t it funny when time pass?/Only n***a in first class,’ and I was just talking about me being a young, rich dude and being black,” Khalifa explained at an interview with MTV’S Sway.

He said that although the original was “Only N***a in First Class”, the edited version will be “One Night in First Class”. Khalifa also said that he thought of the title during an instance when the flight crew slightly doubted the appearance of a young black man flying with priority seating.

Khalifa attacked that instance when he plainly said, “It looks crazy to [the workers on an airplane] when I walk up to them and I show them a [first class] ticket, or I’m going to priority seating and they’re like, ‘You sure?’ It’s kind of like that feeling – it’s a good feeling, but it’s like it’s a bad feeling, like ‘Damn, why y’all even feel like that about me?’ When I look around and I see people in first class and they’re getting they’re dinners a little quicker than mine or they’re looking at me or I don’t get the pillow or extra [treatment] – or I get more because they know that I’m supposed to be there, so it’s like the positives and the negatives.”

Who could ever forget the hip hop artist who took the airwaves by wildfire when he dealt out a killer single “Black & Yellow” in 2010? Wiz Khalifa has made a name for himself as one of the hottest and loudest voices of Pittsburgh Hip Hop.

The Taylor Gang Leader said that, “You really won’t get it if you’re not from there. Just growing up in Pittsburgh and knowing different neighborhoods, having family there and just loving it, it’s like no other place.”

Khalifa said that he enjoyed how hip hop was so diverse in Pittsburgh. He explored how music continues to grow and how it inspires people.
He said that, “With the music, it’s a whole new avenue we done opened up for kids and for people to look up. It’s a reality now out there, so it’s really important for us to just embrace ‘em and motivate ‘em and push ‘em forward.”

Comparing the Hip Hop culture of Philadelphia and that of Pittsburgh, Khalifa also said, “We always had love for Philly. It was harder for Philly to embrace us because we’re a little bit slower to them or to more East Coast towns. Philly is more East Coast than Pittsburgh. It’s closer to New Jersey and New York, so the vibe is way more fast-paced. Pittsburgh, it’s just laid-back … Midwest almost on some country stuff.”

Khalifa indeed has grown in the Hip Hop industry as a figure that has captivated the crowd through his rap and smooth tunes.

Rapper Tyga is hopeful to release his latest album, “Careless World: Rise of the Last King” set for February, the rapper said.

As his second studio release, the album will feature collaboration with Young Money, where this album will be his first release, Busta Rhymes, Soulja Boy, and Lil Wayne. In anticipation of the release of the album, the rapper has released singles such as “Still Got It”, featuring Drake, “Far Away”, and “Rack City.” These singles got positive feedback which prompted Tyga to push for the awaited release of the complete album.

Tyga said during a fan UStream session, that, “I’m excited to drop this album that I was supposed to drop like three months ago. I just want ya’ll to know that it’s not my fault because it’s just bunch of bullshit that you gotta deal with when you’re putting out an album.” After this, Tyga indicated that he is hopeful for a Feb. 7 release of the album.

Tyga said that the album shows his maturity but the fact that he still relates to kids with the innovative album he is to release. Tyga has made a name in the Hip Hop industry and his fast paced raps and writing style makes him a growing master of music.

Tyga was first recognized with his debut single “Coconut Juice” where he worked with Travie Mccoy, his cousin. Through this, Tyga has enhanced his rapping and performed until he has taken a spot in the Hip Hop industry in Young Money Entertainment.

Jahlil Beats recently signed up with Jay-Z’s label, “Roc Nation” in order to expand his music career, Oct. 2011.

Beats is off to develop new music projects and enhance his music style with the label, especially with his involvement with popular Roc Nation signees such as Willow Smith, Jay Electronic, and J. Cole. Moreover, he is going to work along with Jay-Z in his upcoming albums.

Beats said that working with Jay-Z’s label is, “Just a blessing, and [I am] honestly happy to be here.” He mentioned that he was in a bidding war with around six other labels looking to hire him. He felt that Roc Nation was a name and brand “bigger than life”, so he could not refuse the offer.

Beats showed his enthusiasm in his projects since then, when he said that, “I did like 90% of Jim Jones’s Vampire Life album. I did like 90% of Bow Wow’s Underrated album. I’m working on Fab’s album. I’m working on stuff with Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Willow, Jaden Smith. I got like four joints on Red Café’s album that’s dropping in February. I’m working with Soulja Boy, Tyga. I’m working with so many cats.”

Beats is working his way being a producer and artist at Roc Nation. Beats has worked with popular artists like Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Fabolous, Diddy, Rick Ross, T.I., Sean Garrett, and so much more. Thus, he is building his music career with his audio engineering expertise, becoming Hip-Hop’s rising super producer.

Masspike Miles is up to debut with a major release mixtape entitled “Say Hello to Forever” hitting the stores on January 24, 2012.
The rapper has been developing his rap skills during three years of development, where he toured the world with Rick Ross, CEO of Maybach Music Group. He anticipated the major release of his mixtape, which involves much devotion and fine tuning.

Miles said that the mixtape is “classic R&B bringing it back to the essence of the 90s, 80s, 70s all mixed in one with a little bit of jazz influence.” He also says that with each release, the label is on its way to reach their ultimate goal in performance. Miles’ release of his new mixtape will be a follow up to his EP released in 2011 entitled “The Road Less Traveled.” As such, the rapper is expecting to hit the airwaves with a smoother rap style that will captivate the audience.

The rapper also said that “We building an empire right now, putting a lot of time and effort into this project to make sure it’s classic. You’re watching my growth in due time, you will see the mixtape.”

Miles has also worked with popular artists such as Shawty Lo, DJ Khaled, and Yo Gotti during the three-year-development of the mixtape. He also released “Flatline”, his popular single.

Miles is known for being a noise maker in the hip hop industry, with a power that he notes as important in developing his character and music style. With this, he continues to hone his rap style to give the audience the entertainment they deserve.

Necro is taking his wild side with his up for a “bad ass” release of an album entitled “The Murder Murder Kill Kill EP” by label Psych Logical Records, January 17, 2012.

Necro said that, “I am not rushing a monumental project like ‘The Godfathers’, so this EP will hold you over til it drops.” Necro is taking his time to make sure that he gives the fans what they deserve in music quality and content.

Of the things to expect from Necro’s latest release is that The Godfathes and Gruesome Twosome will be featured on his New EP, which will hype up what Necro calls “brutal hip hop” with that flair the fans are waiting for.

One of the key aspects of this album is the album cover which Necro says is the “sickest sh*t released by any hip hop artist”. This reflects Necro’s music to bring the “bad” out in good music, as many fans are looking forward to the album’s release.

Necro has been collaborating with Kool G Rap amidst the production of the album, as well as a project with the Gfathers. Necro has been hitting the Hip Hop scene with a unique style in rap, namely “death rap”. This sub-genre combines explicit rap about violence, occult, and sex. Necro is known for his unique release of concept songs, something rap artists seldom do. These songs combine ideas that convey messages which are sometimes controversial but full of depth. Necro keeps it cool by paving his own image in the Hip Hop scene.

Sha Stimuli has been rapping since 2002 after the release of his first mixtape release “Let Me Show You The Way”. Together with childhood friend DJ Victorious, Sha released monthly mixtapes in 2008 with specific themes such as politics and love. This gave him the attention needed to make it as a Hip Hop artist in the music industry.

HipHop is good and alive this 2012, and with Sha Stimuli’s album, things are kept real with the rhythm and rap.

The next “white rapper” on the rise, Yelawolf released a new album this week called Radioactive. He is signed under Shady Records, under the most infamous “white rapper” ever, Eminem/Slim Shady. Yelawolf had an interview where he discussed the term “white rapper” in the hip hop industry. Unlike what most would expect, he isn’t fazed by it.

“I don’t hate the term ‘white rapper,’” he explained. “It’s fully relevant and will always be… It’s important to hold to the culture as it is, no matter how abrasive that [term] might sound or it might be. Race is still real and you got to recognize it.”

Then in an interview with Billboard after his “Deal or No Deal” tour with Wiz Khalifa, he talked about Interscope Records, “After that [tour], things just started happening,” said Yela, who then explained why Interscope was a good fit for him. “The big difference is walking into a meeting with Jimmy Iovine at his house as opposed to an office, and getting congratulations for all we’ve done, and they’re just saying, bluntly, ‘We just want to be involved. We want to be a docking station for you to come and refuel and go back out and do what you do.’ That’s exactly what they said, ‘fuel station.’ It feels right-important.”
He even discussed his ten-year plan:

“We all want longevity. I have a ten-year goal, so I could be like David Grohl or something. I want to be like [Eminem], [Jay-Z], Anthony Kiedis, Kid Rock. They’re getting older and they’re great, touring the world, making a good living. That’s the goal I’m trying to achieve.”

Rumors have been flying that Drake was going to leave Young Money. These allegations spurred after he decided to leave one of his management teams. While he was performing at a concert in Hartford, Connecticut, he addressed these rumors, confirming that he will not be leaving his hip hop “family”.

“I’ll tell you if you wake up in the morning and you think Young Money ain’t my team, you out of your motherfucking mind,” he said. “My brother Lil Wayne is all the way in Australia right now, but I got my camera on in the back and I just want to let him know how much me and Hartford got for him. So if you got love for Lil Wayne, make some noise!”

You can see the video below:

On the other end of the spectrum, Nicki Minaj, also a Young Money artist, talked about her Sophomore album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which is scheduled to be released on Valentine’s Day 2012. She recently dropped a teaser single called Roman in Moscow, where she raps from her alter ego’s perspective “Roman Zolanski”.

“When I say it’s a teaser, it’s like a trailer to the movie, it’s like setting the stage and I just wanted to touch the surface. It’s the wackest thing on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.”

Nicki Minaj was nominated for Best New Artist for the 2012 Grammies. She said that there will be a video for the single coming soon, then went on further, explaining the song.

“Well, he was there [in Moscow] secretly because [alter ego] Martha wanted him to go there, so they put him in this thing with monks and nuns; they were trying rehabilitate him,” she continued. “But I can’t tell exactly what happened, you’ll just see it in the video format, but let’s just say he got out of there.”
