Sah ril Combines Charisma and Talent for Good Music

January 24th, 2012 | By

As a testament to creativity, style, and true music, Sah ril provides the makings of what it takes to become an independent hip hop artist. He combines a feat that takes on hip hop with a new edge in style where he unleashes this potential in music performances, paving the way into Hip Hop as a musician with a mission.

Sah ril started hip hop at 14, where he tried to rap. Because of his wit and charisma, Sah ril managed to captivate his friends, his first audience, and jump start a career that he will grow to love and continue to nourish.

Sah ril

Sah ril’s style is as he puts it, an effort to speak to the reality of a situation. He paves his music on that belief, with his words and wit to enhance the atmosphere. Together with his rhythms and tunes, Sah ril keeps it real.

He believes that Hip Hop is “the movement of the people and nothing more.” Hip Hop, as he puts it, is fueled by the people and he enjoys living in a time where the internet has paved the way for independent hip hop artists, like himself, to put his music to the people and still be heard.

The rapper’s major release is entitled “Back Where the Pain is 3″. He indicates that the release is a combination of an instrumental tape, short film, documentary, a pre-tape mixtape, and a duo album with fellow artist Bashir.

Sah ril is all about keeping things real and making sure that his music reflects that. In fact, when asked by Urban Steez what represents himself, he responded with “Stand naked before the world, and go mad with love”. Truly, this exemplifies the character and wit that the hip hop artist drives from. Keeping it real to keep things in motion.

Blueprint: A Rapper/Producer with a Plan

December 14th, 2011 | By

Blueprint is more than just the name of this up-and-coming rapper/producer. He’s created a master plan that will enable him to connect with a larger fan base – something that all artists are looking for. It all started back in 2001, where he collaborated on a hip hop project called Soul Position with RJD2, a producer/DJ. Two projects he released through Rhymesayers Entertainment with RJ are The Unlimited EP and 8,000,000 Stories. He then went on to drop his first album called “1988″ back in 2004.

As a producer, he played around a lot with samples, using dark and soulful sounds and mixing them with hip hop beats. He eventually stopped sampling due to the many lawsuits emerging regarding copyrights of samples, which lead to the reinvention of himself, creating original content for his masterpieces. He used his growing disdain and cynicism for this world, pop culture and society to drive his musical journey.

What sets Blueprint apart from the rest is his love for hip hop and other genres of music. After getting writer’s block for his sophomore album, he came up with the idea of combining hip hop, electronic music and rock. This gave him the creative juices that he was craving. His sophomore album, Adventures in Counter-Culture, was finally released in the spring of 2011. This artist started off in a church choir and played in R&B bands during high school, and soon he could be one of the next top hip hop/alternative artists of this upcoming decade.

Below is a video from a track on his sophomore album, “Radio-Inactive”
