Drake Denies Rumors About Leaving Young Money; Nicki Minaj Talks About Sophomore Album

Rumors have been flying that Drake was going to leave Young Money. These allegations spurred after he decided to leave one of his management teams. While he was performing at a concert in Hartford, Connecticut, he addressed these rumors, confirming that he will not be leaving his hip hop “family”.

“I’ll tell you if you wake up in the morning and you think Young Money ain’t my team, you out of your motherfucking mind,” he said. “My brother Lil Wayne is all the way in Australia right now, but I got my camera on in the back and I just want to let him know how much me and Hartford got for him. So if you got love for Lil Wayne, make some noise!”

On the other end of the spectrum, Nicki Minaj, also a Young Money artist, talked about her Sophomore album “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, which is scheduled to be released on Valentine’s Day 2012. She recently dropped a teaser single called Roman in Moscow, where she raps from her alter ego’s perspective “Roman Zolanski”.

“When I say it’s a teaser, it’s like a trailer to the movie, it’s like setting the stage and I just wanted to touch the surface. It’s the wackest thing on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.”

Nicki Minaj was nominated for Best New Artist for the 2012 Grammies. She said that there will be a video for the single coming soon, then went on further, explaining the song.

“Well, he was there [in Moscow] secretly because [alter ego] Martha wanted him to go there, so they put him in this thing with monks and nuns; they were trying rehabilitate him,” she continued. “But I can’t tell exactly what happened, you’ll just see it in the video format, but let’s just say he got out of there.”

Busta Rhymes Signs with Cash Money Records

The rumors have been confirmed by Busta Rhymes himself. He has indeed signed with Cash Money Records. The vet rapper made the confirmation while on the Funk Master Flex radio show. Busta has been pretty busy lately – he was on Chris Brown’s latest album and has won multiple awards for it. If you look into his musical history, you’ll notice that he has a knack for associating himself with the winning teams. The same goes for his newest decision to get down with Cash Money Records.

Just look at their track record and you’ll see why he made this choice. They have a lot of big names under their belt right now like Nicki Minaj and Drake. Some people may not like the idea of Busta Rhymes signing a contract with CSR, but there are a few good reasons to why it is definitely a good decision.

For one, hooking up with Cash Money will get him full access to some of the top names in the industry, including Lil’ Wayne, Nicki and Baby, among others. How many vet rappers can you say are still in the limelight today? Other than Jigga Man of course. With CSR, Busta will be able to stay in the spotlight for as long as he can put forth tight work. He’s been doing great so far, so we’ll see if he can do even better under their record label.

Let’s face it, if you want to make big money, you have to target the youth. And the youth today aren’t into lyricism like the last generation of hip hoppers, so Busta should do farely well financially under Cash Money Records.

Nicki Minaj’s Cousin is Killed, Bizarre Similarities to Her Song “We Miss You”

A funeral was held over the weekend for Nicki Minaj’s 27-year-old cousin, Nicholas Telamaque. He was shot and killed on Monday night in Brooklyn, New York. He arrived DOA at Kings County Hospital after police responded to a call 2 in the morning about shots being fired. The funeral was one of the biggest ever, held at the Saint Vincent Ferrer Church.

The Web has been stirring about the bizarre similarities between what happened and the lyrics of a song of Nicki Minaj’s, called “We Miss You”. The song is about her lover getting shot in July. Here are some of the lyrics:

Why’d you have to leave in July?/ On a peaceful and serene summer night….You said that you would leave these streets, and I know you didn’t mean in a body bag/ But now we see you were not bulletproof, and I’m mad ’cause you were the best that I ever had.

Nicki tweeted that the song has nothing to do with her cousin and was actually recorded over a year ago.

“Tho the lyrics of ‘We Miss You’ eerily depict the circumstances surrounding my cousin’s death, I wrote & recorded that song on 5/24/2010,” she tweeted. “It was sent to Mariah Carey & Keyshia Cole over a year ago for a possible feature. It didn’t make Pink Friday due to clearance issues. It’s an unauthorized leak.”

After announcing her cousins death earlier in the week, Nicki hadn’t been back on Twitter until the song’s leak. But she did have this to say to her fans:

“Thank u ALL for your kind words and well wishes. Love.”

Amber Rose’s Leaked Nude Pics & Rumors of Beef with Nicki Minaj

Are you really shocked about the Amber Rose leaked nude photos? How many times are we going to see celebrities “accidentally” leak out their naked pics on the Web, and then act shocked and mortified that it took place? Amber Rose, of all people, we’d probably expect this from. Since she’s gained popularity during her relationship with Kanye West, she’s been viewed as a sex symbol. She wears revealing clothing, has a bubble butt that she loves showing off and enormous breast implants. Fifty said it best:

“You got to look at who a person was. [If it was] someone who came in that was completely, let’s say, conservative, that would be a damaging blow. That was a camera that took those photos, that ain’t no camera phone,” he explained. “You gotta know, you gotta have intention to have a picture taken with your fingers in your [privates].”

This isn’t really a shocker, and then the photos were done with a camera, not a cell phone, so there is likely some intention there. Now, we can’t say that she wanted them to leak, but she couldn’t be naive to the idea of the possibility. They say all publicity is good publicity, but Rose doesn’t see it this way. She supposedly spent days crying over the matter because she lost modeling work afterward.

“The company that I was working with no longer wants to work with me because of these pics and that prevents me from getting money to take care of my family,” Amber said.

She Tweeted, “I’m really hurt & embarrassed because I have so many young girls that look up to me.”

Now, supposedly these pics were taken two years ago, but rumors are flooding the streets that Rose sent these pics to Wiz Khalifa, Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend. But Nicki has denied these rumors to be true.

Well, we’ll see if this turns out to be a good or bad publicity stunt on the behalf of Amber Rose.

Minaj to Tour with Spears

In Britney Spear’s summer tour, it looks like Nicki Minaj is going to be part of the extravaganza. A contract has been signed and the two artists are ready to work together to bring great music to the scene during Summer 2011, at the Marcus Amphitheater July 9.

In an interview with Elle Magazine, the hip hop diva said that Spears approached Minaj in supporting Minaj for the summer tour. Minaj is excited to work with the pop princess. The tour was to feature Iglesias originally, but he backed out last minute.

The hip hop diva has shown success during her endorsements at Casio and other projects that put her on the map. She also takes part in many charities, especially in support for the calamities in Japan early 2011. Minaj toured with Li’l Wayne earlier in the year and she is going to keep her music pumping with Spears during the summer. Minaj is currently hitting the charts with her music, especially with the release of her album.

Both parties are excited for the tour, and it looks like Spears and Minaj will hit the music scene with a blast! Their performance will put them at the headline of Summer 2011.

Minaj continues to enjoy success for her debut album, “Pink Friday,” selling quite well as she continues to bring out her sexy image in the Hip Hop world with that musical flavor in her. Summer will truly sizzle with the Minaj and Spears duo bringing in the heat to the music scene.
