Our latest photoshoot was with the wonderful Federica Pezzulla. She was gracious enough to answer some questions regarding jewelry and Valentine's Day. See what she had to say and scroll down to see b-sides from the photoshoot. To see more of Federica, check out her King Ice lookbook.
What is your favorite type of jewelry to wear? What about on your loved one? What type of jewelry catches your attention when your guy throws it on and makes him look extra hot?
I love long necklaces; I mean what girl doesn’t! As for my boyfriend, he likes to keep things minimalistic, opting for simple bracelets with not too much flash or flair. Now, that isn’t to say he doesn’t wear necklaces, but it has to be some really out there, something cool that makes him look even sexier in my eyes.
Valentine’s Day is around the corner, so tell us, what’s been the most memorable gift you’ve gotten? What’s been the least memorable? Any gifts that you’ve gotten that just made you laugh? Or even cry?
Memorable gift has to be one that just happened, today actually. My boyfriend surprised me to a trip to Italy, where I’m originally from. To me, Italy remains one of the most romantic countries in the world. The aura, the countryside, even the people know and understand an idyllic setting perfect for romance.
About the least memorable, I would say a pair of gym gloves! I should have used them to punch the guy who gave them to me. Now for something more causal, you know, something silly, I’d have to say a unicorn external battery. It had cute, colorful accents and worked perfect for me since I love unicorns. When I saw it, I laughed and almost cried of happiness because it’s the little details that my partner knows about me, those small intricate pieces of information that knows he cares—and LISTENS!
Valentine’s Day is always filled with romantic dinners and events. What has a guy done to just make you stop and say wow, that’s new? What about your least memorable event that made you laugh in how awful it was?
I love surprises; if a man can plan a fun or romantic date for us, he has me! So add in a surprise or two for your lady guys! For my birthday, my boyfriend organized a full weekend that started with us walking by the ocean, followed by a lovey dinner and finishing it off with a surprise bash with all my friends, and lastly a trip to Halloween Horror Nights and Universal Studios. Each detail, each step into the night kept me on edge, not knowing what would happen. For me, there is beauty in the mystery.
The least memorable: a guy I dated awhile go took me to the beach. It started off okay. You know, nice romantic setting, but it quickly turned into the guy talking all about himself the whole night. Turned out so bad, I left him—on the beach.
Describe how you would style your guy with our King ice Jewelry for Valentine’s Day. What pieces would you get him to make him stand out from the crowd?
I would love to get my guy one of the crown necklaces. He’s my king. That piece in silver, believe it’s called The White Gold Lucious Lyon's Crown Necklace from Fox's Empire, matches his style. For myself, I’d even get the matching female crown-- The 14K Gold Cookie Lyon's Crown Necklace from Fox's Empire
Say you’re on a date, what would be one topic to ruin your evening?
One of my biggest turn offs has to be when a guy starting talking too much about himself or his exs. They’re your ex for a reason; no need for me to know about her. Even worse, when he starts going on about the problems they had. No need to live in the past. Focus on us.
