Nana Fofie Prefers Comfort Over Jewelry

Nana Fofie arrives as a breath of fresh air in the music industry, creating her own lane titled Afro R&B. Being both Dutch and Ghanian and based in the Netherlands, her sound is a combination of her roots and contemporary R&B. It was her breakout single “Mad Over You” in 2017 that would cement her name as a force to be reckoned with.

Fast forward to 2020, Nana has a rare cosign from Nicki Minaj, even having the opportunity to open to Queen Barbie during the Amsterdam leg of The Nicki Wrld Tour last year. Now, Nana celebrates the release of her new visual for “Yeno Ntem.”

King Ice caught up with Nana to discuss her jewelry preferences.

What are your go-to jewelry accessories and why?

Honestly, I barely wear any jewelry or accessories. For a matter of fact, I’m a real tomboy. If you see me out and about in my city, I’m usually wearing baggy comfortable clothes and sneakers. When I do dress up, the only jewelry that I wear are earrings. You might catch me with a bracelet.
