Products define brands, and for King Ice, this ethos continues to run true. Since its inception, the brand’s collection pieces have helped stand out against its competition. From its minimalist Buddha pieces to its more complex, Animal-inspired pieces, the brand never shies away from producing creative, artistically-inspired designs that require added craftsmanship, time and 3D-design technology to create.
Now, the brand brings back a streetwear staple: The ABC Collection, a hodgepodge of alphabetized initials built for the consumer looking to represent a name, meaning or an idea. The collection pieces are all priced at $60, providing a great entry point for men looking for a simple, yet luxurious piece.
ABC Collection Design Process
3D designs require work. Compared to 2-dimensional designs, the craftsmanship and molds require different techniques. Each 3D design pendant uses a 14K gold ionic plating process, a procedure that takes a post-production jewelry piece and dips it into a .05mm micron bath that adds real, 14K gold plating to ensures both the shine and the look of the product.
After the plated bath, the pieces adds a solid back, covering up the handset pinholes seen on studded jewelry pieces. This backing gives the piece its solid, 3-dimenional look, while including a Greek-key pattern to each outline. Once the piece is completed, an individual will start to handset each AAA, clear CZ stone onto the piece, a labor-intensive task that requires care and skill to complete.
