To jumpstart the month of March, we take you down south to the A, where 2 Chainz tells us to "Rap or Go To The League." On his new album, A&R'ed by Lebron James, Chainz delivers 14 new tracks including the previously released “Girls Best Friend” record featuring Ty Dolla $ign. Also making guest appearances on the trackless are Marsha Ambrosius, Young Thug, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Ariana Grande, Lil Wayne, E-40, Chance the Rapper and Kodak Black.
Next up, we jet set to the left coast, as LA’s TMG Fresh, gets his “Silk Pajamas” pressed. The luxury rapper unveils a more reflective project, compared to his previous work. On “Silk Pajamas,” TMG paints a picture of his high-end lifestyle and what it all means. The lyrics on the title track share a different side of Fresh, a playboy archetype known for celebrating the good life every chance he gets.
The dynamic duo that is Cardi B and Bruno Mars makes a return this Winter, as they unveil the visuals for their new collaborative effort, “Please Me.” Co-directed by Bruno, himself, the steamy visuals finds the pair in Los Angeles, showing off their chemistry as they dance on each other - Cardi even gives Bruno a lap dance! The single has already debuted at No. 5 o the Billboard Hot 100 and is expected to rise!
Fresh off the release of "Find My Love" with Nas and Amy Winehouse, Salaam Remi, is back with the second release off the DoItForTheCulture2 collection "Roll the Dice" featuring Gallant. “I was already a fan of Gallant’s from his song 'Weight In Gold'," says Salaam, "The first day that he came into my studios, the first bit of music he heard became this song. His voice soars on this Marvin Gaye Inspired music bed and since that day has been on my weekly playlist. I’m excited to share it as part of my DoItForTheCulture2 project.” And we're happy to share this on our weekly round-up this week!
Also repping for the West Side, G-Eazy and Blueface connect for the official video of their joint effort, “West Coast.” The collaborative banger finds both artists boasting about their earnings, and G-Eazy drops hints about his upcoming album. Blueface comes through with some flexing of his own, “I got more b*tches than Petco.” “I’m comin’ this Summer, yeah, it’s safe to assume.”
Earlier this week, T-Pain surprised fans with his latest album release, “1UP.” The release is the eclectic singer's first in over two years - “OBLiViON” was released in early 2017. We got a taste of the album when T-Pain teased a single with Tory Lanez back in January titled, “Gotcha Roll On” - which became the project’s lead single. It was then followed up with a Flipp Dinero assisted track titled, “All I Want” and OT Genasis featured “A Million Times.” Other notable features on this album include Boosie Badazz, and Lil Wayne.
