Festival season is upon us. And New York is gearing up for one of the biggest concerts that sets the tone for the Summer. Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam is just a couple months away and to kick things off earlier this week, the legendary Hip Hop station hosted a private Summer Jam Line-Up Reveal day party at their station.
As you know, the Summer Jam Stadium Stage hosts some of the hottest names in Hip Hop on an annual basis. In an invite-only setting at their radio station headquarters in Manhattan, Hot 97 unveiled this year’s line-up. Amongst the crowd of industry tastemakers, bloggers, media personnel and Hot 97 personalities, the line-up was announced on-air.
Up and comers, Blueface, Trippie Redd, Nicole Bus, G4 Boyz, City Girls and Melii will set the tone on the Festival Stage. Inside MetLife, the Stadium Stage will be taken over by Cardi B, Meek Mill, Migos, Tory Lanez, A Boogie, Rich The Kid, Funk Flex (& Friends), Davido, and Casanova - who was present at the Line-Up Reveal Day Party.
Looking forward to this year’s festivities, we take a look back at some of the best ice spotted at past Summer Jam concerts.
In 2018, Meek Mill (who will headline this year) was fresh out of jail, and an appearance by him was unlikely. However, pulling through for the fans, Meek hit the stage in grand style, with his neck covered in ice - including his iconic, Dream Chasers logo.
Chris Brown bodied the Summer Jam Stadium Stage a couple years ago with a phenomenal set filled with A1 dance moves, and his classic hits. Shirtless, as usual, Breezy was seen with a few gold chains are hanging from his neck as well - sporting a gold pyramid pendant, representative of his Black Pyramid brand similar to our 14K Gold All Seeing Eye Pyramid Necklace ... which might have you busting out moves like Breezy, too.
In 2016, G.O.O.D. Music was in the building as Kanye West brought Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Desiigner, Travis Scott, and Pusha T, on stage with him. Dressed in all black, the ice stood out as they joined together to put on an epic performance. From Big Sean's Jesus piece, Travis Scott's cuban link chains, and Desiigner's circular pendant, everything was all good.
F-A-B-O-L-O-U-S took to the Hot 97 Summer Jam stage in 2015, with a cup in hand, and two massive gold cuban link chains with a bracelet to match. And to top off the all-white fit, he sported a NY Knicks fitted to show off that hometown love.
You, too, can snag this simple (yet expensive) look with one, or two of our 14K Gold 15mm Flooded Miami Cuban Curb Chains.
A year prior, 50 Cent headlined the Festival and surprised concert goers with a G-Unit reunion on stage. Draped around his neck, was a massive dollar sign symbol pendant in gold. Here, at King Ice, we have a 14K version of this pendant available with a 26" stainless steel Franco chain.
