Jim Jones Links With Fat Joe in "NYC"

On the heels of his "El Capo" release, Jim Jones, reps for his city in his new collaborative single, "NYC." On the Fat Joe assisted record, Jones links with director, Shula The Don, to co-direct the single's official video.

Paying homage to the Big Apple, the video follows the two native New Yorkers through the notorious neighborhoods and sights of the borough of Manhattan. It also gives nods to the New York Knicks and Yankees, while a cameo quote from Queen icon, LL Cool J, appears. And a chilling reference to the Central Park Five - from Netflix's gripping series, "When They See Us."

In the video, Jones is seen sporting multiple diamond chains - including a few Louis Vuitton "LV" pendants, a hefty Jesus piece, some wrist and finger ice, as well. Watch below.

In New York City, music fans rejoiced at the grand re-opening of the famed, Webster Hall, with an epic concert headlined by none other than, JAY Z. The venue had hosted its last show in August of 2017. But Brooklyn Sports Entertainment Global (BSE) acquired Webster Hall in partnership with The Bowery Presents. Together, they decided to celebrate the grand re-opening with a historic concert. And who better than one of NYC’s music icons.

The sold-out crowd was in for a special treat as Hov brought some friends with him to surprise concert goers. Including fellow New Yorkers, Nas, Cam’ron and Jim Jones. “Nas is my brother, Cam is my brother,” Jay proclaims, confirming that all is well despite past feuds. It was truly a joyous moment in New York Hip Hop, and Hip Hop, overall.

Also using the opportunity to perform a new freestyle, Jay paid tribute to the late, Nipsey Hussle, highlighting the work he did for his community.

Also, throughout the night, Jay can be seen rocking the iconic Roc-A-Fella chain.
