Fireman Band$ Reveals His Jewelry Influences

Fireman Band$ Reveals His Jewelry Influences

Fireman Band$ is a walking fashion statement. The Brooklyn native proves you can make it through being yourself, without following any trends or conforming to any one type of artist. Growing up, he was always the bad kid in school. It was at age 18 when he was locked up behind bars he decided music was going to be his career. He jokes about how the artists he heard on the radio while incarcerated were trash.

King Ice caught up with Fireman to discuss his jewelry preferences, who hails multiple face piercings including the dermal and one in between his eyes like Lil Uzi Vert.

Do you feel like you have to wear jewelry as an artist?

No. Lil Wayne was one my first influences. He was the first person I seen as a rapper put jewelry on his face. He had the lip ring I believe. At that point, I thought “hmm let me try it.” I did it and I thought it was cool. Then I did the nose ring, but it didn’t have anything to do with rapping or nothing.

In your opinion, who had the most iconic hip-hop label chain?

Definitely I would say Roc-A-Fella. They definitely had the iconic chains.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, a billionaire. Definitely mogul. A bunch of businesses. Just a walking bank, super successful.

Lil Wayne Confirms New Album Release + Our Favorite Iced Out Looks

Lil Wayne Confirms New Album Release + Our Favorite Iced Out Looks

It’s going to be a Funeral.

Not a literal one, of course, unless you’re talking about putting beats and lyrics into hearses. In a recent Q&A on radio station Q93 in New Orleans, Lil Wayne confirmed his long-awaited “Funeral” album - which is set to drop before the year is out!

“I’m not sure. I wouldn’t count it out (Tha Carter VI) but Funeral is my next album. I’ma be dropping that by the end of the year.”

Weezy further shares how far he’s come along on the forthcoming album: “You know how I work. My album’s always done; it just takes Mack to come in there and wrap up a couple songs and name them. That’s how it go around here. I work every day, so, it just takes them to come in and say Let me get these 20 songs. And they name them and then we go from there.”

It's been nearly ten years since Weezy debuted his first album, "The Block is Hot," and for the past decade the Young Money ringleader has  not only put out quality material, expanded his legacy by aligning with fellow iconic artists such as Drake and Nicki Minaj, but he's had the Bling Bling on ice.

I know it's too early for a throwback but its the perfect segue into our favorite blinged out looks of Weezy.

Aside from the pattern clash, Weezy takes "statement piece" to a whole new level with this oversized, iced out pendant matched with a gold cuban link chain. And to top it off, he kept both pinkies on froze with a pair of silver diamond rings. And contrasts his diamond platinum watch with a few wooden beaded bracelets.

1 for the money, 2 for the show.
Now clap your hands if you got a bankroll.

This iced out, gold "money bag" pendant and chain is definitely for show. And Weezy pairs it with gold gleaming grillz.

When you can't decide on which chain to wear, you rock'em all.

From Drake's OVO pendant, a couple gold link chains, matched with a pinky ring, a few bracelets and a pair of shades, you can't go wrong. Looking to pull off this look? King Ice's 14K Gold Owl Necklacewith a couple gold chains and a pair (or 2) of our Gold Key or Gold Link Shades in Black, you, too, can be out here lookin' like young money

Dive in, this sh*t feel like water.

Saweetie opens up the new Big K.R.I.T. single titled, “Addiction.” Over the Rico Love produced smooth banger, K.R.I.T. also recruits Lil Wayne for a star-studded line-up. Along with Saweetie’s catchy hook, Weezy and K.R.I.T. dive in with verses of their own.

The sultry single serves as the second release from his upcoming album, “K.R.I.T. IZ HERE” - dropping July 12th. The complete tracklist for the album shows more collaborations with artists like J. Lil Wayne Jumps On “Genius” Remix With LSD (Labyrinth, Sia & Diplo)!

Lil Wayne Jumps On “Genius” Remix With LSD (Labyrinth, Sia & Diplo)!

As of recent, Lil Wayne has been killing the remixes - like his recent remix of Imagine Dragon’s “Believer.” Earlier today, Weezy unveiled another he concocted for LSD’s single, “Genius.” LSD is a collaborative group comprised of artists, Labyrinth, Sia and Diplo - who has worked with Weezy in the past.

To compliment the release of the official remix, an animated video was unveiled earlier today. The trippy visuals finds Weezy kicking the banger off with an effortless flow as what appears to be some sort of animal who transforms into a floating head (dreads & all).

My flow is so ambidextrous. I’m a genius and perfectionist. Specialist and an exorcist. With excellence forever. This necklace is for irrelevance.”

Speaking of necklaces, make sure to check out some of our new arrivals!

Genius” is set to appear on LSD’s debut album which is set to drop later this year. As for Weezy, a follow up to his 2018 release, “Tha Carter V” will be a series of festival appearances including Governors Ball in NYC, Broccoli City in DC, and more.
