      News — Lil Yachty

BAPE and Lil Yachty Collaborate On New Capsule

BAPE and Lil Yachty Collaborate On New Capsule

BAPE has worked with a wide range of artists in music, fashion, and design. For their upcoming capsule, the streetwear royalty tapped Lil Yachty for an exclusive collection. Similar to Bape’s cartoon iterations of Kid Cudi and Pusha T (to name a couple), this collaboration will feature an illustrated version of Yachty - in the same style - accompanied by BAPE’s mascot, Baby Milo.

The collection will include graphic hoodies, and t-shirts, featuring two contrasting designs. The hoodies will showcase designs in both the front, and back, while the t-shirts will have an alternate graphic of Lil Boat and Milo.

The pre-sale event begins tomorrow, May 23rd, at BAPE’s NY Flagship in SoHo. And customers who make a purchase can attend a meet-and-greet with the artist. For those outside of NYC, the collection will be made available in other (select) BAPE retailers worldwide.

DC Young Fly and Lil Yachty

Lil Yachty & DC Young Fly Show Us "How High" They Can Get In Trailer to Sequel

      It’s coming!

The sequel to Method Man and Redman’s, “How High,” is coming. Lil Yachty and DC Young Fly have some big shoes to fill as the sequel is slated for a 4/20 release (of course). In the first official trailer for “How High 2,” we find Yachty (who plays the part of Roger), and DC (Calvin) as two friends who find a “Weed Bible” in the wall of their basement. Following the “holy” instructions” written in the book, the two end up growing a supernatural plant - which gets stolen. This is where the adventure begins as Yachty and DC embark on a hilarious mission to get their plant back.

Deray Davis, NeNe Leakes, Lil Baby, and Mike Epps (who returns as Baby Powder), all make appearances in the film as well. “How High 2” was written by Family Guy’s, Shawn Ries, and Artie Johann, “Workaholics” Alex Blagg, and “Powerless’” Neel Shah.

Obviously, the story plot has changed since the 2001 original release - which followed Method Mad and Redman as two stoners who got into Harvard University. So, when the OG’s heard about the sequel, they had some thoughts: “Long story short is that me and Meth was not aware that they were doing this transaction with the movie. But my thing is when you have a brand, like Red and Meth, that kind of helped built and created this entity of How High and shooting a movie on marijuana and being in college - those were all our ideas. And when the deal came about, we wasn’t involved in it.”

Without blessings from Meth and Red, is How High 2 even worth a watch? We shall wait and see. In the meantime, get lifted with some of our 4/20 friendly pieces, seen below.

Snoop Dogg, himself, helped us design this "Weed Leaf" necklace dipped in 18K gold plating with colored CZ gems (red, white, green).
