Lil Nas X Wearing King Ice at Cardi B’s Fashion Nova Event

Lil Nas X Wearing King Ice at Cardi B’s Fashion Nova Event

Cardi B hosted a poppinFashion Nova party this week at the Hollywood Palladium, celebrating her second collaboration with the online clothing giant. In attendance were industry tastemakers, influencers, and celebrities including Chanel West Coast, Lamor Odom, and Jeremy Meeks. But it was a performance by new standout artist, Lil Nas X that had many talking - aside from when Cardi hosed herself down with water on stage while twerking, of course.

Lil Nas X hit the stage, joining Cardi, as he performed his hit single, “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus. Spotted on Nas X, completing his cowboy look, were a couple King Ice pieces: our 15mm Iced G Link Chain, and The Longhorn Bull Necklace.

Essential Designer Frames: 2019 Spring Shades Collection!

      Sunglasses are a necessity.

There’s no denying that, especially when it’s the middle of Summer, the sun is beaming down on your face, and it feels like the whole world is looking at you. Whether you’re rocking a pair to look like a star walking down Hollywood Blvd, or you just need a dope essential to subtly hype your fit, a pair of shades is a fundamental necessity.

This season, King Ice unveils the Spring 2019 Shades collection - a complimentary piece to match your jewelry and outfits. Casual, or dressed up, our Greek Key Shades with Glossy Black Frame, is a must-have. We’ve styled our one-of-a-kind shades with gold detailing and tinted polarized lenses (available in black, blue, and red). Additionally, we’ve chosen to go with large set lenses and frames for a more modern look that will complete any look.

DJ Jazzy Jeff and Will Smith

In the late 80's, large clear frames was the style! DJ "Jazzy" Jeff and the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" Will Smith.

      Eric "Eazy E" Wright

In the 1990's, smaller frames defined by pitch black lenses, was the wave - You had to keep a fresh pair of all "Black Locs" as seen here on the late Eazy-E, Notorious B.I.G., and Puff Daddy.

Circa '10 Lil Wayne and Birdman were known for having a fresh pair of "Stunna Shades"

In the 2000 - 2010 era, guys like 'Ye, Wayne, and others introduced a whole new vibe with sunglasses - they were iconic and truly expressed culture.

As the fashion trends got bolder, so did the sunglasses. Oversized frames bedazzled with gems, took over - as seen here on Rihanna.

Today, artist like the Migo's, 21 Savage, Lil Pump, Lil Wayne, Uzi Vert, Kodak Black, T.I., and others continue to push the trend forward but none more forward than King Ice.

As you can see, regardless of how they've evolved throughout the years, sunglasses remain an integral part of fashion, and culture.
