Red Carpet Looks From Rihanna's Diamond Ball in NYC

Red Carpet Looks From Rihanna's Diamond Ball in NYC

Rihanna hosted her fifth annual Diamond Ball in New York City last night - benefiting The Clara Lionel Foundation. Held at Cipriani Wall Street in Lower Manhattan, the red carpet was a fashion runway all on its own. Celebrities put on their most elegant and glamorous outfits for their grand entrance into the Ball. While some kept their accessories to a minimum, a few celebrities caught our eyes with their iced out looks.

2 Chainz came through with an all-black suit - the perfect backdrop for his layering of necklaces - including a massive iced out basketball pendant hanging from a Cuban curb link chain. Down to his wrists, both were dressed with matching Cuban link and diamond tennis bracelets, as well as a classic time piece.

Not to be outdone by his wife, Offset, came through dripping in a navy blue tux with silver detailing which he complimented with various silver accessories - including, a hefty diamond rock on his ring finger and a couple cuban link bracelets to accompany his iced out watch.

With a name like Moneybagg Yo, the rapper, decked out in a red suit and some black shades, was glistening on the red carpet with a pair of diamond stud earrings, iced out grillz (to keep that smile shining), and a few Cuban curb link chains to contrast with the black turtleneck under his suit.

Meek Mill wasn’t too flashy this year, keeping it pretty basic in a black suit, white collared shirt, and not tie - but in its place was a silver link chain. For Meek, we loved this simplistic approach.

Fat Joe brought some Latin flavor onto the red carpet with his light blue suit, button-downed shirt as a few silver chain peaked through. He also had each wrist glistening with a bracelet accessory and a silver watch. To top it off, he sported some dark tinted aviators.

Rihanna Covers Interview, Talks New Album, Life & Love

Rihanna Covers Interview, Talks New Album, Life & Love

Interview Magazine’s latest feature has the fans going wild.

Dressed in a see-through, animal print body suit, Rihanna, covers the Magazine’s latest issue. In her exclusive cover story, Ri-Ri sheds light on a few aspects of her life. Fresh off the launch of her collaboration with LVMH for Fenty’s new fashion line, the iconic singer who claims to be “shy,” showed some vulnerability in this cover feature.

It’s hard to believe that Rihanna made her debut over fourteen years ago, with her breakout record, “Pon di Replay.” Time surely flies. Her career took off, and hasn’t slowed down yet. Yet, as long as she’s been in the spotlight, there are still pieces of the music icon we haven’t seen. The now, 31 year old singer and business mogul has won 9 Grammy Awards, topped numerous music charts, launched a successful beauty and lingerie business, and has secured a partnership with the fashion behemoth that is LVMH. Not to mention, she became the first Black woman to be the face of luxury brand, Dior.

      Ri-Ri is an unstoppable force.

But there’s more to her, behind all the success. Check out some of the highlights from her sit down with Ocean’s 8 castmate, Sarah Paulson for Interview Magazine below.

PAULSON: How old are you now? If you don’t mind me asking.
      RIHANNA: 31.
PAULSON: Shut up! I was too focused on work stuff when I was 31—I didn’t go to weddings, I didn’t go to funerals, and in retrospect I regret that.
RIHANNA: I never used to be this way. It’s only the last couple years that I started to realize that you need to make time for yourself, because your mental health depends on it. If you’re not happy, you’re not going to be happy even doing things that you love doing. It’d feel like a chore. I never want work to feel like a chore. My career is my purpose, and it should never feel like anything other than a happy place. I’ve made little things a big deal, like going for a walk or going to the grocery store. I got into a new relationship, and it matters to me. It was like, “I need to make time for this.” Just like I nurture my businesses, I need to nurture this as well. I’ll shut things down for two days, three days at a time. On my calendar we now have the infamous “P,” which means personal days. This is a new thing.

PAULSON: If there are things going on in the beauty line, do you all of a sudden go, “Wait, I don’t want to leave this hanging. I want to take care of this”?

RIHANNA: I don’t leave things hanging. I will work all day in a meeting, leave that meeting at 1 or 2am, and then come home with a tiny group of staff and work until 5, 7am.

PAULSON: When do you sleep, girl?

RIHANNA: I don’t have a sleep pattern. I have sleep pockets. I fit it in when I can. That’s why I take those personal days so seriously. Because it’s like, “You had all of me. I gave you the answers.”

PAULSON: What’s the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?

      RIHANNA: Pray.

      PAULSON: First thing?

RIHANNA: Unless I have to pee or something. I always want to start my day with a little devotion. I buy these devotion books and they’re dated, so you just pull up the date and that devotion is for that day.

PAULSON: Have you always been a person of real faith?

RIHANNA: I’ve always been. My first time praying and fasting was when I was 7 years old. I did that on my own, because I wanted to go to New York, and I knew that this was a sacrifice I had to make in order for god to make sure I could get there.
