For over 14 years, King Ice has been producing wearable art, inspired by culture and has designed an insurmountable amount of highly demanded, unique street wear jewelry. One of the most prominent and anticipated collaborations has been with Death Row Records.

Death Row Records has been one of the most significant labels in music history and West Coast hip-hop. Since the initial start of Death Row in 1991 by Marion “Suge” Hugh Knight Jr. and Michael “Harry O” Harris, the effect has been monumental. Some of the label’s artists included the likes of Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and 2Pac Shakur.
Though many came from turbulent backgrounds, nothing was going to stop them from succeeding. By 1994, the label had generated $300 million in sales. The label produced numerous hip-hop albums that are considered classics to this day.
Dre’s “The Chronic” (1992) was certified triple-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. Snoop’s “Doggystyle” (1992) was certified quadruple-platinum and Pac’s “All Eyez On Me” (1996) went on to be certified diamond by the RIAA.
The artists weren’t the only members to succeed from their trials and tribulations. Harris, a reputable blood gang member from the Bounty Hunters set in the 70s and 80s, was a drug dealer in the streets of South-Central LA. Being street smart and book smart helped Harris become a successful entrepreneur and stray away from the gang life. He had an abundant amount of businesses like hair salons, limousine companies, and numerous real estate investments.
Death Row Records’ has made a staple in hip-hop. Rapper The Game from Compton dedicated an entire song to this prominent chain called “Death Row Chain” from his “Streets of Compton” (2016) album, noting the significance of what this chain really means.
Fast forward to 2019, almost two decades after the birth of Death Row Records, the Death Row x King Ice collaboration has made it possible for admirers to rock the label’s infamous logo chain like we’re back in the 90's.
On Feb. 28, King Ice will be launching two new colorways and styles of the Death Row chains that will be added to the collection on www.KingIce.com.
The first style is the Death Row Records logo necklace that will be available in a white gold or 14K gold finish. Each pendant will be iced out with clear VVS Diamond Simulates and will be paired with a 24”, 8mm Cuban Chain.
The second style will be the same Death Row Record label logo necklace in a white gold and 14K gold finish but will have a more solid look to it without any stones. These will also be accompanied with a 24”, 8mm stainless steel Cuban Chain.
Each piece will run for $120. For customers with a bigger bag, the $8,000 Solid 14K Gold and Diamond Death Row Logo Necklace and the 14K Solid Gold Death Row Logo Necklace for $5,500 are available for purchase, as seen on Snoop Dogg and The Game most recently.
