King Ice caught up with Jazmine via phone to discuss her jewelry preferences, and if she feels she needs to wear jewelry as an artist.
Do you have any go-to jewelry accessories?
You know what, I actually don’t. I’ll probably wear a pair of studs. In high school, I used to wear bangles up to my elbows. I used to wear all kinds of jewelry all the time, every day. I played jewelry out from when I was younger. [laughs] Now I’m so basic. I’ll wear a pair of studs or a little necklace, maybe a ring. Not a lot of jewelry these days.
Do you feel like you have to wear jewelry as an artist?
No, you don’t have to do anything as an artist from my perspective. You’re talking about blinged out chains?
Yeah.
Heck no. Not me, I’m not that type of person. I’ve never been superficial and I’ve never had to wear something to prove to anybody that I got money or I’m doing well in my life. If I’m smiling, I’m doing well. That should be indication that I’m good.
